Liettuan Suomalainen Kilta – The Lithuanian Finnish Guild – Suomių Gildija
Finnish Guild in Vilnius was established 1994. The Guild is a non-profit organization, presented by annually elected Board with following tasks:
- Provide information and drive the interests of members (Finnish speaking community in Vilnius and Lithuania)
- Provide social network and leisure time activities
- Organize monthly meetings, trips, parties, seminars, company visits etc
- Take actively part in charity work
- Other tasks mentioned in Guild rules and regulations
Basic rules are that anyone can join as a member, fee per year is LTL 100 for Private Membership and LTL 500 for Corporate Membership (includes two persons). The official language of the Finnish Guild is Finnish, but if non-Finnish speakers are present in the meetings, English is spoken. Currently we have approximately 50 active members and the number is increasing rapidly.
